Personal Property Notices, 2nd Mailing

The assessor is required by statute to mail second notices sometime between March 1 and April 1. Typically we have mailed them on March 31. So, for those who have not returned their 2006 personal property form to the assessor's office yet this year, they will be receiving a second notice in the mail very shortly.

By statute, the form is to be returned to the assessor's office before March 1. Those that arrive after that date can be subject to a late assessment penalty.

If you have moved and your forwarding order with the postal service has expired, you will want to contact us with your updated mailing address.

We expect to mail around 4,200 second notices.
